Tracy was given a special look at the Germanic state visit's dazzling main event

It’s Tracy here, back at my desk after spending Wednesday in Windsor watching the royal family host their third state visit of the year.
The King and Queen, together with the Prince and Princess of Wales, pulled out all the stops to welcome Germany’s Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the First Lady Elke Büdenbender to the UK.
I was one of the accredited journalists allowed into the castle for a close-up view of both the ceremonial welcome and the incredible state banquet, which was really quite something to behold, especially with Princess Catherine looking so glamorous and dazzling in a very special tiara with a romantic history.
But when I arrived in the morning to report to the castle gate and collect my security pass, I had a bit of a panic.
