Meet Prince George's godfather, the UK's youngest billionaire
He's practically royal himself...
Hi Royal Clubbers,
You may be wondering why the subject of my newsletter today is Prince George's godfather, the Duke of Westminster, who is incidentally also the youngest billionaire in the UK with an estimated fortune of over £10 billion.
But the Duke, also known as Hugh Grosvenor, is getting married on Friday to his fiancée Olivia Henson, and it's set to be the most talked-about high society wedding of the year.
William is playing a key role, that of usher to his close friend, and while it was previously rumoured that ten-year-old Prince George would act as a pageboy, it's looking increasingly unlikely, especially given that the wedding falls on a school day and George will be in lessons at Lambrook school.
Before Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis, it was thought that she would also attend the wedding in Chester, north England. But she is expected to stay at home where she's been keeping a low profile amid her preventative chemotherapy treatment. It's not certain yet whether King Charles, who is one of Hugh's godfathers, will attend with his wife Queen Camilla. We'll just have to wait and see until the big day!
So who exactly is the Duke of Westminster, who is such good pals with the Windsors and whose links with the royal family span back generations?
