Hi, Royal Clubbers!
Not long to go now until Christmas Day when we will see King Charles, Queen Camilla and other senior members of the royal family on the Sandringham Estate as they attend the morning service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, a stone’s throw from Sandringham House.
Covering 20,000 acres and set in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the estate has been tied to the royals since 1861 when Queen Victoria bought it as a 21st birthday present for her son, the future Edward VII.
In the build up to Christmas, friend of The HELLO! Royal Club Sharnaz Shahid was given a tour of both the house and church, and has sent us a voice note reporting back. We’ve already had a listen, and Sharnaz paints a truly evocative picture of her “favourite” royal residence as she is shown the family photos, beautiful furniture and even where King Charles likes to take his morning tea! She also unearths a lovely link between the church and America, which we are sure will delight our members in the US!
Before you listen, take a look at the short video Sharnaz took capturing the magnificence of the estate in one panoramic sweep.

And now here’s the voice note. As ever, let us know your thoughts in the comments below! Do you have a favourite royal residence?!
