Queen Margrethe has a "huge responsibility and pressure" to make decisions

You may have seen the news that Queen Margrethe of Denmark only gave her sons Crown Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim three days' notice before announcing her abdication on live television.

That really astounded me (and my fellow Royal Club author Andrea who shared her opinion here), and it got me thinking about relationships between mothers and their sons.
