LISTEN: Princess Lilibet's name controversy resurfaces
Royal biographer reports late Queen's "anger"
A new royal book will be hitting the shelves this week – Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story by Robert Hardman.
And one fascinating extract that has been making headlines ahead of its release is the revelation that the late Queen Elizabeth II was "angry" to hear that Prince Harry and Meghan had said she had given them her blessing to name their daughter Lilibet.
Lilibet, as you may know, was the late Queen's childhood nickname.
At the time of Lili's birth in June 2021, there were mixed reports about whether the Queen really had been supportive of the Sussexes' decision.
In the voicenote below, I look back at the timeline of events and touch upon some of the other claims in Robert's new book.
You may also be excited to hear that our very own Emily and Andrea are speaking to Robert as I type this. He's making an appearance on an upcoming episode of The Right Royal Podcast (the only royal podcast with The HELLO! Royal Club seal of approval), so be sure to search it out on your podcast player of choice and download that episode when it drops.
