King Constantine's extensive royal connections revealed
The last King of Greece's Windsor memorial was a who's who of European royalty

I have to admit, I felt slightly out of my comfort zone before writing this post.
This morning, a thanksgiving service to celebrate the life of the late Constantine II, the last King of Greece, was held at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, with Queen Camilla and other British royals in attendance.
Constantine is not someone who I wrote much about during his lifetime (he passed away aged 82 in January 2023 after a period of ill health).
So when I started doing my research ahead of his memorial service today, I had so many questions. Who was he? Why was he such good friends with King Charles? Why did Lady Gabriella Windsor (out of all the British royals) attend his funeral in Athens?
I didn't realise just how connected the father-of-five was to the British royal family, but also so many other European royal families.
