Hello again, Royal Clubbers!
I’m about to hit send on this having raced back from the Shaping Us National Symposium at London’s Design Museum, where the Princess of Wales gave the keynote speech.
She looked remarkably fresh, considering she was celebrating the King’s birthday until nearly midnight the night before.
Luckily she had managed to squeeze in a quick rehearsal before the festivities, watched on by Prince William, and she did very well, especially given she was addressing global experts in the field.
In her longest and perhaps most important speech to date, Kate called for children’s emotional and social development to be prioritised, arguing that it’s “just as valuable to our long-term success as reading, writing arithmetic.”
And speaking to event host Fearne Cotton, she revealed how Prince Louis is learning how to discuss emotions at Lambrook by using a “feelings wheel”.
I’m sitting down to write about this in greater depth for the magazine, but wanted to share a few of my initial thoughts.
