Hi everyone. The weather’s miserable here in London but no amount of rain can dampen our celebrations for King Charles’ 75th birthday!
The monarch has been enjoying a string of celebrations in the week leading up to his big day, including starring on the cover of the Big Issue in a portrait shot by esteemed photographer Rankin, and dropping in on a tea party for other 75-year-olds at Highgrove House yesterday.
Tonight, Charles is hosting a private party with his nearest and dearest. The venue is being kept under wraps but it's likely to be at his London home, Clarence House, so we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for any arrival photos.
As we celebrate Charles' reaching three-quarters of a century, we wanted to share a little anecdote from his friend and veteran royal snapper, Arthur Edwards.
Earlier this year we caught up with Arthur on HELLO!'s A Right Royal Podcast. He told us how he and Charles (then Prince Charles) didn't get off to the best start when he was first employed by The Sun. Let's just say he left the Prince seething after one encounter outside the royal's country house.
Thankfully, they're BFFs now and have the greatest respect and admiration for each other.
