As my fellow Royal Clubber Ainhoa Barcelona discussed in a post earlier this week, it has been an incredibly difficult couple of years for the princess, who was forced to leave her student accommodation amid kidnap threats and was placed under heightened security.
It has since been confirmed this week that Princess Catharina-Amalia studied for some of her degree course in Madrid, which offered a greater freedom of movement.
