If you're a regular reader of Fashion Friday, you'll know that we get very excited about state visits.

Next Wednesday will mark a momentous occasion for future Dutch queen, Princess Catharina-Amalia, as she joins her parents, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, at the Spanish state banquet in the Netherlands.

These type of formal occasions call for a white-tie dress code, which means evening gowns and tiaras for the royal ladies.

While tiara moments are very rare nowadays, it's also an opportunity for the royals, like the Princess of Wales, to display their many honours and decorations.
