Fashion Friday: Carole Middleton the unexpected influencer
Does the Middleton matriarch swap style tips with daughter Kate?
Carole Middleton served as the ultimate style inspiration for mothers of the bride everywhere after her daughter Kate's marriage to Prince William in 2011.
The Middleton matriarch, who turned 69 on Monday, looked elegant in a sky blue Catherine Walker coat for the royal wedding.
The outfit ticked all of the boxes for royal wedding etiquette with its knee-length hem and pastel hue, as well as being by a British-based atelier.
It ultimately boosted interest in Carole's fashion credentials, much like that of her daughters Kate and Pippa.
Much like her demeanour, the businesswoman has always dressed appropriately, rather than to stand out. It's clear that Carole's day-to-day wardrobe is all about practicality and comfort and she has her own concrete uniform, consisting of printed shirt dresses, tailored coats, and blazers and jeans combos.
Like my fellow Royal Clubber Ainhoa wrote in her newsletter earlier this week, Carole is a bit of an enigma and seldom gives interviews.
