Exclusive: When George, Charlotte and Louis became 'Santa's little elves'
The royal children volunteered at their local baby bank in Windsor
By now you may have all seen the very heartwarming video of the Princess of Wales taking her children George, Charlotte and Louis to their local baby bank in Windsor to help sort through donations for families in need.
Our own Emily Nash shared her thoughts on the private outing, and how it reminded her of Princess Diana’s visits to homeless shelters with William and Harry.
Only a handful of people were involved in the visit, including Lauren Hall, co-CEO of The Baby Bank, who welcomed George, Charlotte and Louis to the centre and, “keeping the magic alive”, convinced them that they were acting as “Santa’s little elves”, helping to pack up gifts for other children.
Lauren told me just how “engaged” and “enthusiastic” George, ten, and Charlotte, eight, were, and how they understood the role of a local baby bank, while an excitable five-year-old Louis thought he’d walked into a toy store!
Have a listen to an extract of my interview below. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments…
