The King has hosted his early Christmas lunch at Windsor and is ready to depart for Sandringham and this is my last newsletter of 2023, so it’s time to look back on my highlights of the past year in royal-watching.
It’s been a jam-packed 12 months that will go down in history as the year that King Charles III and Queen Camilla were crowned. There were glamorous incoming and outgoing State Visits, exciting new projects, a new arrival for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, fun family moments for the Waleses and of course, the rather less fun fallout from Prince Harry’s unflinching memoir Spare.
It's hard to single out just a few key moments, but here are six that made the biggest impression on me.
