It's the King's birthday parade on Saturday, also known as Trooping the Colour - an event that typically sees the monarch ride on horseback in a spectacular military parade through central London, before inspecting his troops and returning to Buckingham Palace to watch a Royal Air Force flypast.
This year, given his ongoing cancer treatment, Charles, 75, will watch the procession from a carriage with his wife Queen Camilla.
Despite the military spectacle, Trooping is a family affair at heart, and this weekend other senior working royals are expected to step out to support the King, including Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and Prince William. The Prince of Wales' three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are also expected to make an appearance too; they've been attending Trooping since they were toddlers.
But will their mum Kate, who hasn't been seen officially since Christmas Day and who is receiving preventative treatment for cancer, also join in the festivities?
