Charles is back! His health questions answered
The King is returning to public-facing duties next week
Fantastic news, Royal Clubbers!
Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles will return to public-facing duties next week. He and his wife Camilla will visit a cancer treatment centre on Tuesday, where they will meet medical specialists and patients.
It will mark the start of the monarch's much-anticipated comeback as he prepares to undertake more engagements in the coming weeks.
On top of this, Charles and Camilla will also host Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan for a state visit in June. Here's hoping for another tiara moment if a state banquet is on the cards!
The palace was also keen to note that as Charles and Camilla approach the one-year anniversary of their coronation on 6 May, they "remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year".
They also wanted to share the heartwarming photo (above) that was taken earlier this month on the day after their 19th wedding anniversary in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
Side note: It was shot by portrait photographer Millie Pilkington, who is a favourite with the Waleses. Millie's most recent photo of the family that was shared publicly was on Prince Louis's fifth birthday last year - a portrait of Kate pushing Louis around in a wheelbarrow.
We know you'll have a lot of questions about Charles' comeback and health, so we've answered them below…
