Everyone knows the chaos of trying to gather a family together for a photo, but it was important to mark what would have been the late Queen’s 100th birthday with her loved ones.
From left to right in the photo are: the Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent, the Princess of Wales, the Prince of Wales, King Charles III, Queen Camilla, the Princess Royal, the Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Alexandra and the Duchess of Edinburgh.
The picture was taken at Buckingham Palace today for a special new portrait, with this more informal shot emphasising the closeness of the family. I find it incredible how Elizabeth connected so many generations, and I’m sure today was spent fondly remembering her.
