Hi Royal Clubbers, it’s Iona here.

And the winner is…
Yesterday I asked if you thought Princess Charlene was the most fashionable European royal – and actually, 67 per cent of you said no!
In the comments, other royal names were mentioned – such as Queen Mary or even Zara Tindall. Of course, style icon Princess Catherine was included – however, it is worth reading this HELLO! article about the other glamorous European royals.
Poll of the day
As you will have read, Prince Haakon has spoken out about his sister’s Netflix documentary.
I absolutely love a real-life show – especially this one, which shows how modern royals are pushing the boundaries in this century. I have to admit, this show is on my list and I haven’t got round to watching it yet! However, I do think the love story between Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett is a juicy one – and I’m not surprised there’s been some chatter since the release of the documentary.
Any time the royals step into the commercial side of things, of course there’s going to be a bit of backlash. However, playing devil’s advocate, their lives can be so fascinating – and I’m deliberately being vague here in order not to give this one away. It’s not a reality TV show, but it does cross into that territory – and would I like the British royals to do a documentary? 100% – but I highly doubt that’s ever going to happen.
The Norwegian royals are certainly very interesting though – and quite a complicated family. They were one of the first European royals I learnt about when I joined HELLO! and from this documentary, to their social media daughters, to the scandal involving their son – there’s a lot going on.
So for today’s poll:
If you haven’t seen the show and are wondering – is it even any good? – you can read one Andrea’s review here.
Video of the day
Princess Anne made some rare comments about her granddaughters today while visiting one of her newest patronages in Portsmouth on Wednesday…
Her granddaughters include Peter Phillips’ daughters, Savannah, 14, and Isla, 13, as well as Mike and Zara Tindall’s three children – Mia, 11, Lena, seven, and four-year-old Lucas. So, a whole handful!
I love this video because it shows Anne letting down her guard during a royal engagement and opening up about her family life. After a busy few weeks in the headlines for the royals, it’s good to hear that – behind the scenes – Princess Anne enjoys a bit of normality as a grandmother, away from state banquets and tiaras (although I’m sure she doesn’t mind those either).
