Hello, Royal Shoppers! It’s Leanne here. There’s one major thing we’ve been focused on this week and that was Prince William and Princess of Wales’ 14-year anniversary.

As you’ll have no doubt seen, the royal couple chose to commemorate their anniversary with a return to Scotland’s Isle of Mull, a locale rich with personal history as the place where their relationship began during their university years.

Prince William and the Princess of Wales celebrated 14 years of marriage on 29 April

She wore personalised gold necklaces by Daniella Draper, each bearing the initials of their children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis - symbolising the importance of family even in their absence.

Inspired by William and Kate’s approach, I thought I’d do a round up of ideas of meaningful anniversary gifts.

From paper to diamonds, this list just gets better as the years go on

Quite frankly, finding the perfect anniversary gift can be tricky and you may prefer to opt for the typical gift based on how many years you’ve been married (see the list above), but regardless, here are some heartfelt gift ideas that will make their day.

Click on the price either in dollars or pound sterling to proceed. FYI, when you purchase through links, we may earn commission.

Anniversary gift ideas

1. A card is important - don’t forget!

Sometimes it’s just the little things when it comes to an anniversary gift, and a card is a must. Whether you go for something funny or romantic, make sure whatever you write inside is meaningful.

My top picks:

  • Happy You & Me Day anniversary card from Etsy, $5 / £2.95

  • Little Toast To You anniversary card from Moonpig, $4.99 / £3.99

Moonpig is a great destination for special cards

2. Jewellery - it’s a classic for a reason

A piece of jewellery customised with initials, birthstones, or a significant date can serve as a daily reminder of your bond. For instance, a necklace featuring your children’s initials or a bracelet engraved with the coordinates of a special place.

My top picks:

  • Fairy multiple name necklace from Mint & Lily, $49 / £45

  • Personalised calendar necklace from Lily & Roo, $129 / £99

  • Etta heart engravable ring from Carrie Elizabeth, $109 / £80

  • Love locket from Monica Vinader, $178 / £128

  • Halved signet ring from Pandora, $135 / £90

A personalised gift makes a real difference

3. Memory-inspired art & personalised gifts

This is a cute gift idea. There are so many ways to transform a cherished photograph into a piece of art. Whether it’s a hand-drawn sketch, a painted canvas, or a digital illustration. Consider gifts like a personalised photo album, or a bespoke piece of home decor that reflects your shared experiences and milestones

My top picks:

  • Wedding caption print by Papier, $45.90 / £44

  • Personalised glitter print by Lillie Bernie, $96 / £85

  • Stick with me book by Papier, $28.80 / £26

Artist Lillie Bernie covers prints in glitter - how about a photo from your wedding day?

4. Experiential gifts

Plan a getaway to a location that holds sentimental value, much like the royal couple’s return to Scotland. Alternatively, organise a day filled with activities that you both enjoy, creating new memories together.

My top picks:

  • A romantic weekend trip

  • Wine tasting

  • A trip to the spa for a couples massage

  • A sporty or wellness activity you both love

I hope this has given you some good ideas on what to buy your true love for your anniversary, but if after reading my guide you are still feeling stuck for inspiration, why not gift your beloved a subscription to The HELLO! Royal Club?
